Working on days (0700-1600 with a lunchtime finish on Friday) the role will be to run any one of the company’s CNC machining centres, producing component parts for the company’s products in a range of materials. You will be loading and unloading components and carrying out basic inspection using gauges and measuring equipment to check components for quality and accuracy.
Components are, in the main, small precision machined parts for use in various industries from defence and aerospace to oil and gas. Some training will be offered and a chance to develop your skills and knowledge in the setting of CNC machine tools.
To be considered you must demonstrate:
A mechanical aptitude and previous experience of working .in a manufacturing environment.
The ability to understand and work to engineering drawings
Proven ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
